Winamp Remote Control Requirements

Here are the basic requirements for controlling Winamp from your mobile phone or tablet:

• An Android, Windows Phone 8, BlackBerry or Java mobile device. (iOS coming soon!)
• WiFi or Bluetooth connectivity between your mobile device and PC
• The Vectir PC Remote Control Mobile App installed on your phone or tablet
• The Vectir PC Remote Control Server installed on your PC
• Winamp installed on your PC

Winamp Remote Control Commands

The following Winamp commands are supported in the Vectir remote control for Winamp:

• Play/Pause
• Stop
• Previous
• Next
• Toggle Shuffle
• Toggle Repeat
• Volume
• Mute
• Now playing browsing
• Media library browsing
• Playlist browsing
• Album browsing
• Artist browsing
• Composer browsing
• Genre browsing

More commands such as speaker balance can be added to the Winamp remote profile in the Vectir server
